Tantalyum

Tantalum is produced through hydrometallurgical processes and belongs to the refractory metal group. It is highly resistant to acid corrosion and has a melting point of 3017°C. °Tantalum is extremely hard but becomes quite soft in annealed condition. It exhibits high heat and electrical conductivity.
